Our Mathematics Teacher Ms. Rajni Bhatia has been conferred with 𝗕𝗛𝗔𝗥𝗧𝗜𝗬𝗔 𝗦𝗛𝗜𝗞𝗦𝗛𝗔 𝗥𝗔𝗧𝗔𝗡 𝗔𝗪𝗔𝗥𝗗 during the Digital Education Summit, 2021 held on 2nd October at Hotel Radisson Blue, Gurgaon organized by Global Talk Education Foundation, Ministry of MSME (Govt. of India) & National Institute of Education. She was in top 100 educators who got selected for this award from all over India out of 1176 nominees. She received this distinguished award in the presence of Dr Abdulla Rasheed Ahmed, Minister of State, Maldives, Mrs Aishath Shibina, Teacher Education Coordinator, Maldives, Prof. C.B. Sharma, former chairman of NIOS, Govt. of India, Major Harsh Kumar, Secretary NCERT, Govt. of India, Shri Jay Prakash Chaturvedi, Regional Officer, Delhi, CBSE, and Mr. Priyadarshi Nayak (Chairman GTEF India) and other distinguished educationists from India and abroad. Her success story has been published in ‘The Iconic Book 2021’ of CED Foundation- India’s Influential School Educators 2021

FPS Teachers’ Award 2021

Our Mathematics Teacher Ms. Rajni Bhatia has won the most coveted FPS Teachers’ Award in the ‘TGT Category’ for her outstanding contributions in the field of education. She was facilitated in the Forum of Public Schools Annual Conference held on 6th February, 2021 and awarded with a certificate and cash prize of Rs.11,000. The conference was inaugurated by honourable HRD Minister Mr. Ramesh Pokhriyal.

ENTRY IN INDIA BOOK OF RECORDS

Neeti Mittal of class VIII got her name in India Book of Records for completing 31 backward bending Yoga asanas in 2 minutes.She was awarded with a medal and a certificate.She has set many records in yoga with her grit and determination at national and international level.

TAPPING INTO GENIUS

Yashika Jindal of class XI A2 has been selected for Incubator Program for Ecospheric Bins Project and won the scholarship of $150 in U- able program. It was a three month journey of creative thinking and skill development through which children discover their strengths and interests and build a strong,detailed portfolio of work that highlights their creative intelligence. S.D.P.S is proud of the budding scientist.

YOGA ACHIEVEMENTS IN WORLD CUP

A World Cup was organised on virtual platform in December 2020 by World Ayurved Research Center and Development Council in which 1000 students from 206 countries participated.

7 students from our school made us and the country proud by bringing laurels in the categories of Rhythmic Yoga, Solo Yoga and Artistic Yoga.

In Rhythmic Yoga:

  1. Devanshi Mahajan bagged 1st position.

Solo Yoga category:

  1. Anushka Bansal-3rd position
  2. Mehak Chauhan-1st position
  3. Amulya Jindal-2nd position
  4. Bhavya Singhal-2nd position
  5. Akanksha Singh-3rd position
  6. Vibhuti Kaushik-3rd position
  7. The result was declared on the auspicious occasion of Republic Day.

INTERNATIONAL YOGA OLYMPIC CHAMPIONS

1st International Yoga online Olympic Games were held in Turkey. 1300 participants from 208 countries participated in the mega event in a variety of competitions based on different asanas in different categories. 108 students of our school participated in it. Keshav Kumar of class IV and Vaishnavi Kumari of class VII brought laurels to their school and the nation by securing second position in Acrobatic Yoga. 77 students of our school made it among top 115 out of 1300 participants .

TEACHERS' APPRECIATION AWARD

An exceptional educator deserves special recognition - and who better than a student can nominate a teacher for an outstanding educator in their life. Youngsters Entrepreneurs Nexus invited nominations from students to recognize their teachers on the occasion of World Teachers Day. We are proud to share that five of our teachers Ms.Madhu Goel, Ms.Rajni Bhatia, Ms.Anamika, Ms.Gayatri and Mr. Rajiv Mediratta were nominated by their students and received TEACHER'S APPRECIATION AWARD on the occasion of World Teacher's Day.

National Yoga Championship 2020

Ayush Ministry conducted one National Yoga Championship with *Amity University.Five of our students secured First position under different age group category. They all received cash prize. 50 other students won appreciation Certificates

IT GURU AWARD -2020

The COVID-19 pandemic has changed the scenario of education dramatically. However, students have had the opportunity to continue their education through online learning.📚 All over the world,teachers have worked individually and collectively to find solutions and create new learning environments for their students.🖥️💻

In order to honour the work of these teachers ITGA recognized the technophiles and appreciated the efforts and contribution of these education warriors who crossed all hurdles in the path of online education and helped to carry forward the digital learning.

Our four teachers Ms.Vandana Gupta, Ms. Nisha Sharma under the category ONLINE CLASSROOM ENGAGEMENT award , Ms. Anamika Jha under the category MOST INNOVATIVE IT TEACHER AWARDand Ms. Ms. Gitanjli Goyal under the category EXEMPLARY CONTRIBUTION AWARD were selected out of 2000+ participants and received award in the presence of Dr. Antriksh Johri , Director ( IT) CBSE and Dr. Ashok Pandey - Director, Palkon Group of Education.

Teachers pride: Shiksha Gaurav Award 2020

Ms. Anamika Jha, our science teacher has been awarded with “Shiksha Gaurav Award” 2020 by CED Foundation and GTE Foundation of India at Teacher Ambassador Ceremony held on 26 December 2020 at Gurugram .The Award was given away by Major Harsh Kumar,Secretary NCERT in the presence of Mr. P. Ravi ,former regional director , NIOS, Dr A.K. Sharma, Former Assistant Commissioner, KVS and Dr. Priyadarshi Nayak ,founder GTE Foundation.

Total 1145 entries were received for this award out of which only 85 principals,vice principals and teachers got awards across India and Gulf countries.

This award was given away for innovative, inspirational and effective leadership, amplifying students performance and to promote safe and secure learning environments for students.

MIEE EXPERTS OF SDPS 2020-21

The Microsoft Innovative Educator Expert (MIEE) program recognizes global educator visionaries who are using technology to pave the way for their peers for better learning and student outcomes.These educators spark their students’ creativity with thoughtful integration of Microsoft technologies to improve learning outcomes. And with the challenges COVID-19 has presented for all our communities, these educators are leading the way to help transform great teaching and learning for our students—wherever they may be.

We are delighted to announce that NINE teachers from SDPS are selected as MIEE for the fiscal year 2020-21.They go beyond their own school and organizations by working with other educators in professional learning networks that impact students across their region and the world.

SDPS SHINING YOGA STAR

Vaishnavi Tiwari of class 5th added a feather in S.D.P.S cap by setting a record in yoga.She performed at high peak mountains at an altitude of 14000 feet getting her name in India book of Record as the youngest yoga performer.She practiced yoga in front of Mount Chaukamba,Budha Madhyameshwar,Chandrashila Peak and Tungnath ,Uttarakhand.

She practiced all yoga asanas under the guidance of Yoga teacher Mr. Hemant Sharma.

MUN ACHIEVEMENTS

Our school students participated in COVID -19 MUN ( Model United nation) online conclave program and successfully competed with many schools under the guidance of Ms.Nisha sharma.

  1. Amartya of Class IX got 2nd high Commendation in WHO body.
  2. 2.Jayati of Class XI got 3rd position in UNGA body.

Ms. Rajni Bhatia and Ms. Gitanjli Goyal were Selected as a Participant in E2 Global Education Exchange Program in Sydney, Australia By Microsoft from 23-26 March, 2020

Ms. Rajni Bhatia and Ms. Gitanjli Goyal (TGT Computer Science) were invited in Microsoft's 6th annual E2 Education Exchange in Sydney on March 24-26, 2020. This Exclusive three day event will bring together over 300 of the most innovative educators from around the world for the opportunity to collaborate, create and share their experiences on how to integrate technology and pedagogy to advance learning.

Selected as Guest Speaker by Microsoft Education for Skype in the classroom.

Three teachers of English department got the opportunity to judge the essays for Delhi state level competition for school teachers ,organised by Study group, Action Committee.on the topic - Recalibrating pedagogy after the lockdown.

It gives great pleasure to announce that our school has received 'Award of Excellence'for efforts of Student team in" Knowing & Preserving Biosphere and Understanding Science now and then" - a year long project catalysed and supported by Department of Science and Technology, Government of India and organized by Millennium India Education Foundation. It was a proud moment when our school's name was announced in top 20 schools among 91 schools that participated in this project.

On the occasion of _*World Disability Day*_ in Annual Function of Genesis-Neurogen, India *Mrs. Anita Sharma, Principal, S.D.
